Doug Emhoff Heads To Top Law School To Serve As Visiting Professor - Above the Law
Briefly

Doug Emhoff, America's first Second Gentleman, is returning to the legal profession at Willkie Farr & Gallagher while also taking on a role as a distinguished visiting professor at USC Gould. Starting July 1, he will teach a class focused on entertainment disputes, continuing his commitment to legal education after his previous experience at Georgetown Law. Emhoff expressed his excitement about sharing his experiences with law students and emphasized the importance of instilling principles of justice and advocacy for the vulnerable in the next generation of lawyers.
It is great to be back home in Los Angeles, and I am excited and honored to return to USC Gould, where my legal journey began. In Washington, I had the privilege of not just serving as Second Gentleman, but also serving as a professor to law students at Georgetown University.
In this difficult moment for the legal community, I believe it is more important than ever to instill in the next generation of lawyers the same principles that drove me to the legal profession: the imperative of speaking out on behalf of the vulnerable, standing up for the rule of law, defending every citizen's fundamental rights, and always fighting for justice, without fear or favor.
