Dail to vote on designating building projects as 'critical' before they are fast tracked through planning process

"Transport, water and energy projects deemed to be in the national or public interest will be allowed to skip to the top of the queue at each stage of the project approval and delivery process."

Transport, water, and energy projects identified as serving national or public interest will receive expedited approval through the planning process. These designated 'critical' projects will bypass standard procedural delays and move to the top of the queue at each stage of project approval and delivery. The Dáil will have the opportunity to vote on which projects receive this critical designation before the Government implements the fast-tracking mechanism.
