Elon Musk's brief government initiative through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has seen key operatives transition to full-time roles in government. Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, and Ethan Shaotran, previously restricted as special government employees, have gained access to numerous federal agencies, including the GSA. Coristine and Farritor's conversion to full-time status occurred on May 31, whereas Shaotran transitioned earlier in April. Their prior connections to Musk's ventures underscore their influence, with involvement in significant changes such as the dismantling of USAID and initiatives tied to Trump's immigration policies.
Since January, all three have obtained access to dozens of federal agencies in addition to GSA, including the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, and DHS.
Coristine has reportedly been one of the leaders of the initiative related to President Trump’s 'gold card' visas, a controversial proposal that sells visas for $5 million.
