The little theme park between Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm
Briefly

Adventure City, a little-known theme park in Anaheim, stands out amidst larger attractions like Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Spanning just three acres, it features 17 rides, including two roller coasters, a petting zoo, and arcade games, tailored primarily for families with young children. Established in 1994 by Allan Ansdell, who started with a train at a hobby center, the park emphasizes a compact design that maximizes fun in a small area while maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. Unlike larger parks, Adventure City offers free parking, making it accessible for local visitors.
Inside, spread over just 3 acres, are 17 rides and attractions, including two roller coasters, a petting zoo, a rock-climbing tower and an arcade.
The park sits on a very small footprint, but we pack a lot into that footprint, Allan Ansdell, president and general manager of Adventure City, told SFGATE.
After graduating high school, he brought the idea to open a theme park to his parents. "They got onboard with that, surprisingly, because, you know, they're entrepreneurs too."
