Teenagers behind mass shooting in San Diego rushed at mosque fully armored'

Two teenage attackers rushed toward the Islamic Center of San Diego fully armored with handguns and rifles. A security guard shot and struck one attacker, but the attacker continued charging. The guard alerted school administrators to enter lockdown before he was killed. Other victims were killed while calling police. Police arrived and found the suspected shooters near the mosque dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The FBI said the shooters met and were radicalized online and investigators found a manifesto expressing broad hatred toward multiple races and religions. Searches of two residences turned up 30 firearms, a crossbow, tactical gear, ammunition, and electronics, along with writings and ideologies describing a desired world. The investigation was still determining whether the mosque was the sole target. The mother of one shooter had alerted police shortly before the attack that her son was suicidal and potentially armed.
