New details released after police fatally shoot man in Hawaii national park
Briefly

The National Park Service recently released body camera footage documenting the fatal police shooting of Isaiah Fourshey, who was wanted in connection with a homicide. The incident occurred on March 4 at Namakanipaio Campground, where Fourshey, armed and non-compliant to officer commands, was found with a female companion. After nine minutes of attempting to persuade him to surrender, he allegedly fired at officers following a Taser deployment, resulting in law enforcement returning fire. Fourshey succumbed to his injuries later that evening; the FBI is currently investigating the situation.
The community briefing video shows significant sections of the body worn camera footage from some of the involved law enforcement officers. The video is intended to help community members gain a better understanding of what occurred.
Fourshey allegedly responded to an officer's use of a Taser by firing a handgun at a park service officer, prompting the officers to return fire.
