Funerals of two Donegal men who died in tragic crash to be held today
Caoilan Bushe, 30, and Leon Shovlin died in a two-vehicle crash on the N15 at Birchhill on the Ballybofey to Donegal Town road around 2pm on Saturday, May 16. Both men were pronounced deceased at the scene. A woman and a man in their twenties from the same vehicle were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for injuries believed to be non life-threatening. A man and a woman in their forties from the second vehicle were also treated for non life-threatening injuries. Mr Shovlin’s funeral will be held at The Church of the Holy Family, Ardara on Wednesday at 11am, followed by burial in Kilraine graveyard, Glenties. Mr Bushe’s funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Drimarone, followed by internment in Cranny Road Cemetery, Frosses. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision.

A death notice for Mr Bushe reads: "It is with deep sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the death of Caoilan Bushe, Sallows, Selacis, Letterbarrow, Co. Donegal, age 30, suddenly, following a road traffic accident. "Loved and cherished by his heartbroken mum Karen, siblings Shaniene, Nathan, Rion, Tori, Grandmother Nellie, uncles, aunts and extended family and his partner Anita, friends and neighbours.""
