Campbell schools get funding to stage shows at Heritage Theatre
Briefly

The Friends of the Heritage Theatre are launching a funding program to assist local schools in staging productions at their venue during the 2025-26 season, offering up to $10,000. This initiative will support three schools: Rolling Hills Middle School and a joint production by Monroe Middle School and Campbell School of Innovation. They are also creating a $5,000 scholarship fund for student participation. The funding derives from community donations and concession sales. In related news, the nearby Stanford Blood Center has closed its donation center temporarily but will establish a new platelet donation site and enhance mobile blood drives.
"The program will provide our students with an exceptional opportunity to perform on a professional stage," said Martha de Ojeda of the Campbell Union School District.
Samantha Ince, president of the Friends group, said the program is aimed at local youth and those that may otherwise be unable to experience the magic that is the historic Heritage Theatre.
Funding for these programs is coming from donations to the Friends and profits from concession sales at the Heritage Theatre.
The South Bay center is SBC's busiest donation site, and SBC will be increasing the number of mobile blood drives in the South Bay in June and July.
