Three high school seniors from Massachusetts tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Florida. The students were involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer while on spring break. The driver, Jimmy McIntosh, and passengers Hannah Wasserman and Maisey O'Donnell were killed, while a fourth student remains in critical condition. The crash raised concerns about seatbelt use and is still under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol. The local school district expressed gratitude for community support during this heartbreaking time.
"We are very appreciative of the outpouring of love during what is absolutely heartbreaking," Hunter said in a statement, adding about the need for proper family consent in honoring the students.
The Florida Highway Patrol is still conducting an investigation into the fatal collision that claimed the lives of three students.
Investigators will determine seatbelt use of the passengers involved, as only the driver was confirmed wearing one during the accident.
The force of the wreck caused the SUV to cross over the median and stop in a wooded area on the opposite side of the highway.
