Mozart to Mendelssohn (M2M) is the San Francisco Civic Music Association's second full orchestra, formed in 2014 to provide more musicians the opportunity to perform large orchestral works. The ensemble performs repertoire from the 18th through 20th centuries of varying complexity under Music Director and Conductor John Kendall Bailey. Concerts are scheduled periodically on Sundays through June 21, 2026 at Herbst Theatre in San Francisco. Programs feature composers such as Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Reicha, Sibelius, Shostakovich, Chopin, Górecki and contemporary works, sometimes in chorus collaborations. Concerts are free with RSVP; donations are accepted (suggested $10–$20).
