San Francisco Opera announces its 104th season spanning September 2026 to June 2027 with diverse productions and events. The fall season opens with Verdi's "Simon Boccanegra" conducted by music director Eun Sun Kim, followed by Thea Musgrave's "Mary, Queen of Scots" in co-production with English National Opera. Additional fall offerings include Massenet's "Manon" and Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro." Summer 2027 features Wagner's "Das Rheingold" and Puccini's "Tosca." The season includes concerts, the free Opera in the Park event, and concludes with a Pride Concert. Notable performers include Amartuvshin Enkhbat, Heidi Stober, and other acclaimed singers. General Director Matthew Shilvock emphasizes opera's unique power to transform audiences into active participants.
