The La Placita vaccination site at 24th and Capp will cease offering vaccines after Friday, Dec. 5, operating from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Teatro Tin Tin at 2521 Mission St., near 21st Street, is planned to open in early 2027 as a live performing arts and cafe space offering music, live theater, sketch comedy, open mic, dance classes and some circus. Owner Michael Hays aims to create a musician-run community space inspired by a Roots and Ruckus open-mic tipping model and named in tribute to Mexican comedian Hernan Valdez, with an Art Nouveau-influenced facade. Barato Barato at 2121 Mission St., near 17th Street, opened in July selling electronics, clothes, housewares, toys and jewelry with rotating discounts such as $1 Thursdays to offer low-cost goods.
