"2025 was meant to be the comeback year for Not So Silent Night, a holiday concert put on by the Bay Area radio station Live 105 (KITS-FM). Sublime would have headlined 2025's event, with support from Evanescence, Yellowcard, Wet Leg and the Paradox. Aaron Axelsen, who hosts the Live 105 show "Soundcheck," was slated to DJ. Now it looks like that night will be silent after all. In a brief statement on its website, Live 105 announced the event's cancellation."
"Not So Silent Night ran annually from 1991 to 2019 at various Bay Area venues, including Oracle Arena, HP Pavilion and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. For several years, the event was split across two nights. Throughout its initial run, Not So Silent Night pulled an impressive roster of alternative acts: Linkin Park played at Not So Silent Night in 2001, and 2000's lineup featured AFI, Deftones, Green Day and Papa Roach. In 2019, Mumford & Sons and Twenty One Pilots headlined."

Live 105 posted a brief apology stating regret over the cancellation. The festival originally ran annually from 1991 to 2019 at venues including Oracle Arena, HP Pavilion and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and showcased major alternative acts. Live 105 underwent multiple rebrands and returned to alternative music in 2023.
