Alameda briefs: USS Hornet to host Bay Area Latin jazz legend Escovedo
"Alameda's USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum officials invite you to join them at 7 p.m. Saturday as they host Bay Area Latin jazz percussionist Pete Escovedo aboard the USS Hornet. Known for his vibrant performances and captivating rhythms, the legendary Escovedo, still going at age 90, has led a rich musical career that beautifully blends salsa, jazz and other influences. Escovedo's Latin jazz fusion act promises to make for an unforgettable evening celebrating his rich heritage and outstanding musical talent."
