United Airlines is currently facing food and beverage shortages on some flights departing from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) following a recent switch in catering providers to LSG Sky Chefs. Passengers report a lack of available snacks and meals on board, prompting frustration and additional costs for travelers needing to buy food at the airport prior to their flights. The airline's transition is proving challenging, and while they state that most flights will have normal service, issues may persist in the coming weeks as they work to resolve them with the new caterer.
I asked for a couple of things, and they said they didn't have anything. They simply said the catering has changed.
United may have cut over caterers a little too soon. So they've got to get this resolved. And, unfortunately, it sounds like this is going to drag on for some weeks.
