Reem's bakery is returning to Oakland, opening at Jack London Square in the fall of 2025. The new location will occupy the former Timeless Coffee space. Reem Assil announced excitement for the flagship bakery on Instagram. Originally opened in 2017 in Oakland's Fruitvale neighborhood, Reem's closed in 2020 while maintaining operations at its Mission District restaurant. The 3,000-square-foot space will be primarily for production, supporting the wholesale business and the Mission location, with a small café serving various menu items. The new site will be worker-owned, fulfilling a longstanding goal of Assil.
