"Dining Out For Life Bay Area is benefitting both San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Project Open Hand, two powerhouses working to end HIV and feed our most vulnerable neighbors with lovingly-prepared meals. Together, they are serving thousands of people across the Bay Area."
"Grab your friends, pick a participating restaurant, and then eat and drink to your heart's content. 25% (or more) of your bill goes directly to life-saving work- no extra effort required. Just show up hungry and leave full, knowing you made a difference."
Dining Out For Life Bay Area is an annual charitable dining event held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm at participating San Francisco restaurants. Participants dine at their choice of restaurant, and 25% or more of their bill automatically supports two organizations: San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Project Open Hand. These organizations work to end HIV and provide nutritious meals to vulnerable Bay Area residents. The event requires no additional effort beyond normal dining—attendees simply show up, enjoy their meal and drinks, and contribute to life-saving work. The event is free to participate in, though dining costs apply at participating restaurants.
