Canadian-favorite supermarket to open 3 new locations in the Bay Area
"T&T Supermarket, the largest Asian grocery chain in Canada, is planting roots on the Peninsula, just minutes from SFO, according to a news release. The 52,000-square-foot store will be located in Friendship Plaza at 95 Murchison Drive and 135-143 South El Camino Real in Millbrae. T&T is in the process of opening two more locations in the Bay Area: one in San Francisco, at 2675 Geary Blvd. in the City Center mall, and another at Westgate Center in San Jose."
"In addition to groceries and specialty private-label products like soup dumplings and green onion pancakes, the supermarket is slated to feature a sushi counter. It will also include a self-serve hot food bar featuring Peking duck and other barbecue in addition to made-to-order street food like Chinese crepes and Taiwanese-style rice rolls. Also expect a bakery with more than 150 varieties of freshly baked bread and more than 50 types of desserts and pastries, from the chain's popular Napoleon Portuguese tarts to its lava mochi puffs. T&T also plans to have an extensive selection of spirits, with a focus on Korean soju and Japanese sake, too."
""It's a great spot to serve families living in the peninsula and well spaced between our San Francisco and San Jose locations," she said in the press release. "We hope our store becomes a place where neighbors come together to shop, eat, take comfort in familiar flavors and discover new tastes.""
