Provincetown officials are investigating a series of attacks against the LGBTQ+ community. A man reported being assaulted by three men who yelled a homophobic slur during the attack. Police are treating this as a possible hate crime. There have also been reports of homophobic slurs yelled from a vehicle. The Town Manager emphasized the importance of reporting information immediately, noting the police department's quick response. Town officials assert that such behavior will not be tolerated in Provincetown.
"These events are disturbing, and we share the fear and discomfort they are causing in our community," Town Manager Alex Morse said in a statement.
