Olga Talamante, Executive Director Emerita of the Chicana Latina Foundation and past Interim President and CEO of The Greenlining Institute, co-emceed the Mission-based event with Rev. Miguel Bustos, an Archdeacon of the Diocese of California. Honorees included Adriana Ayala, Noemi Calonje, Dulce A. García, Marga Gomez, Carla Lucero, Jes Montesinos, Viviana "Viva" Paredes, Ámate Cecilia Pérez, Rev. Rhina M. Ramos, Ani Rivera, Elba Rivera, and Jennifer Valles. From nonprofit leadership to the arts, the honorees represent excellence across diverse fields. The event followed Hispanic Heritage Month and occurred amid heightened rhetoric and attacks against LGBTQ+ and Latin communities, and it took place hours after President Trump called off a planned Bay Area ICE "surge." The inaugural celebration received support from foundations, community organizations, businesses, and individual donors.
