Jer Auntey Pleasant, 25, was sentenced to 200 years in prison for murdering Larry Wilson, 54, and Joseph West, 22, whom he met through the Grindr app. Pleasant also faced convictions for aggravated robbery and aggravated sexual assault of a child. In March 2022, he shot an unnamed victim during an attempted robbery. In July 2022, he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old. In April 2023, over two consecutive days, he murdered both Wilson and West. Using the alias "Derek" on Grindr, Pleasant lured Wilson to Banyan Tree Apartments and shot him in Wilson's vehicle. West was found with a fatal gunshot wound to his head in his apartment.
