This year's theme, "No Easter without the T," highlighted the ongoing political attacks against trans individuals since the Trump administration's return to office. The event, full of joy and defiance, included speeches from community leaders and activists emphasizing the integral role of the trans community in queer history. Sister Shelita Corndog encouraged participants to unleash their joy and resist attempts to erase marginalized communities.
I am really proud of our theme this year. No Easter without the T. It's to show our solidarity with the trans community, which is under brutal attack right now.
The transgender community has been at the forefront of queer liberation. From the Compton's Cafeteria riots to Stonewall - there is no LGB without the T.
Rainbow energy is brighter than life itself. Free stolen immigrants and all of us who Trump would disappear.
