"For decades, I have used round number birthdays to help raise funds for organizations I love. My 70th was for the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, of course. Well, here I am at 75 still waving my arms at people. This big round birthday is benefiting the Portland Sage Singers: Q+ Elders and Allies (PSS). There are now 90 singers with an average age of 70!"
"I can guarantee your donation will be put to great use to help give the Sage Singers a firm financial foundation for the years ahead. The graphic couldn't accommodate all the music I've been lucky enough to make with you! PSS is the 5th LGBTQ+ chorus I've had the privilege to conduct over the last 39 years. You know them well: the Turtle Creek Chorale, The Women's Chorus of Dallas, Resounding Harmony, the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, and now the precious Portland elders."
Dr. Tim Seelig celebrated his 75th birthday and his 40th coming-out anniversary on January 10. He has long used round-number birthdays to raise funds for organizations he loves. This year's fundraiser benefits the Portland Sage Singers: Q+ Elders and Allies (PSS), a chorus of 90 singers with an average age of 70. Donations will help provide a firm financial foundation for PSS. Seelig has conducted five LGBTQ+ choruses over 39 years, including Turtle Creek Chorale, The Women's Chorus of Dallas, Resounding Harmony, and the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. He expresses gratitude for his home, husband, puppy, friends, and continued music-making.
