Charges have been filed against two 19-year-olds and a minor, all three accused of yelling homophobic slurs from a car at people as they drove through Provincetown last week "threateningly with air horns." Authorities reported that Ryan Mahimtura, Henry Ward, and an unnamed minor are charged with two counts of disorderly conduct in connection with the July 1 incident.
Town Manager Alex Morse acknowledged the disturbing nature of these events, stating that the town officials and the Provincetown Police Department are taking these incidents very seriously and are actively investigating.
Chris Kostka, who identified himself as the victim of an assault that occurred on June 30, described being brutally attacked while walking home, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in any location.
In the June 30 assault case, police reported that Kostka was targeted by three men who exited a black sedan, used a homophobic slur, and physically assaulted him during the incident.
