US Tells UN Security Council Russia Should Take Current Deal To End War In Ukraine
Briefly

On May 29, John Kelley, the acting US alternate representative to the UN, urged that the proposed deal for ending the Ukraine conflict is the best option for Russia, encouraging President Putin to accept it. He warned that prolonging the war is counterproductive and hinted that the US might reduce its negotiation involvement if Russia continued its offensive. The Kremlin awaited Kyiv's response regarding proposed talks in Istanbul, while Ukrainian officials expressed readiness to engage but insisted on seeing Russia's proposals first, leading to accusations of deception from President Zelenskyy.
As far as I know, no response has been received yet.... We need to wait for a response from the Ukrainian side.
Ukraine is ready to attend the next meeting, but we want to engage in a constructive discussion.
Even the so-called 'memorandum' they promised and seemingly prepared for more than a week has still not been seen by anyone.
Prolonging the war is in no one's interest.
