Russian attacks on Ukraine's Kyiv kill at least four people

A large missile and drone attack struck Kyiv and surrounding areas, beginning just after 1am Sunday following air force warnings about a possible hypersonic Oreshnik ballistic missile. The attack included 600 drones and 90 missiles launched from air, sea, and ground. Ukrainian air defenses destroyed and jammed 549 drones and 55 missiles, while 19 missiles failed to reach targets. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported two deaths in the capital and 56 wounded, and the head of the Kyiv region reported two deaths and nine wounded. Damage was recorded in 40 locations across multiple districts, including residential buildings. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia used the Oreshnik missile, described as difficult to intercept.
