Russia hits Kyiv with hypersonic ballistic missile in deranged attack'

Russia used the Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile for a third time during a major attack on Kyiv and surrounding areas. The missile struck Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region. The attack also targeted a water supply facility, a market, residential buildings, and schools. Ukraine reported at least four deaths and dozens of injuries, with at least 83 confirmed injured since midnight. Russia’s defense ministry confirmed Oreshnik use and said it could carry nuclear or conventional warheads. It claimed successful strikes on Ukrainian military command facilities, airbases, and other military enterprises using multiple missile types. Russia said the attack was retaliation for Ukrainian strikes on civilian facilities in Russia. Ukraine reported that not all ballistic missiles were intercepted, with the largest number of hits in Kyiv.

More than 600 drones and 90 missiles hit several sites across Kyiv overnight, said Zelenskyy."
