Russian President Vladimir Putin is absent from crucial peace talks in Turkey aimed at resolving the three-year conflict in Ukraine. Although he proposed these discussions, his name was not on the official Kremlin delegation list. Ukrainian President Zelensky plans to attend alongside a U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while Trump encourages immediate negotiations. He expressed optimism about the meeting's potential outcomes, emphasizing the importance of determining possible agreements for future actions by European leaders and the U.S.
"I think we're having some pretty good news coming out of there today and maybe tomorrow and maybe Friday, frankly," he said in Qatar on Wednesday.
"Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY. At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible," Trump posted.
