Vladimir Putin has voiced support for a 30-day ceasefire proposal, contingent on conditions that ensure it leads to long-term peace. During a joint appearance with Belarusian President Lukashenko, he acknowledged the agreement, but underlined that the ceasefire must address the crisis's root causes. Putin raised questions regarding troop mobilization and arm supplies to Ukraine during the ceasefire. Meanwhile, the U.S. is engaging in discussions over the ceasefire, with President Trump expressing hope for positive outcomes from Russian authorities.
The idea [of a cease-fire] itself is correct, and we certainly support it. But there are issues that we need to discuss, and I think that we need to discuss it with our American colleagues and partners.
So what would happen during those 30 days? Would that allow Ukraine to continue a forced mobilization, a supply of arms to Ukraine, so that the newly mobilized units can be trained, or will that not be done?
