Hundreds gather in downtown Toronto to show support for Ukraine after clash in White House | CBC News
Briefly

In downtown Toronto, hundreds demonstrated for Ukraine’s right to peace on their terms, demanding continued support from the U.S. This was a response to a recent clash between President Zelenskyy and U.S. officials regarding military support and security arrangements. Demonstrators expressed concern over a potential ceasefire that could compromise Ukraine's sovereignty. Tanya Holovach from Ukrainian Resistance Canada emphasized the need for a fair and lasting peace, criticizing how Zelenskyy was treated during his meeting with U.S. officials and cautioning against U.S. compromise with Russia.
We don't want Ukraine to be forced into a deal where it's not really peace. It will be a surrender,
What we want is a fair and lasting peace with a security guarantee because as we know Russia will wait, and in a year or five years or whatever, they have already broken like 25 ceasefires since 2014.
We can never trust what Russia says. We just want some guarantees from our allies.
We don't want the U.S. to side with Russia and with Putin because they really don't have anything good in mind.
