German Chancellor lifts range limit on weapons sent to Ukraine
Briefly

Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Germany and other Western nations have lifted range restrictions on weapons sent to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. This significant policy shift allows Ukraine greater flexibility to launch attacks on Russian military positions. Merz emphasized continued military support for Ukraine, coinciding with similar actions by the US and UK. The Kremlin responded by denouncing these developments as dangerous and contradicting efforts for a peaceful resolution, highlighting the escalating tensions surrounding the conflict.
There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons delivered to Ukraine -- neither by the British nor by the French nor by us nor by the Americans.
If these decisions have indeed been made, they are completely at odds with our aspirations for a political (peace) settlement... These are quite dangerous decisions, if they have been made.
