Menapians AC members in fine form at two venues

Tullamore hosted the Leinster track and field championships in sunny conditions at SETU in Carlow. Young athletes competed across Under-20, Senior, and Masters categories while wearing club colours. Josh Nolan won Leinster gold in the 800g javelin with a personal best of 45.57m. Elijah Page-Redmond threw the 800g javelin to a personal best of 39.79m and placed fourth. Elijah and Lucas Page-Redmond helped the St. Peter’s 4 x 100m relay team finish sixth. Fiachra Mehigan placed eighth in the 3,000m. Helen Wallace won Senior women’s 3,000m steeplechase gold in 13:36.46. Siobhán Doyle won silver in the W65 100m and 200m. Kirsty Hynds won bronze in the W35 1,500m, and multiple athletes earned medals and placings in weight for distance and the W35 4 x 100m relay.
