The Vermont 100 Mile race features a challenging course with over 15,000 feet of climbing. A significant highlight is the Camp 10 Bear aid station, renowned for its festive atmosphere hosted by the Trail Animals Running Club. Runners visit this aid station on two occasions, promoting interactions between competitors of all pace levels. This unique dynamic at Camp 10 Bear enhances the race experience, particularly during the demanding 10 Bear Loop section, making it a focal point of camaraderie and support throughout the event.
The Camp 10 Bear aid station, with its own tagline, "it's so nice you visit it twice," is set up on a small triangle of grass that is at the confluence of three dirt roads.
On race day, Camp 10 Bear turns into the biggest party on the course, hosted by the Trail Animals Running Club (TARC), the largest trail running club in the U.S. Northeast.
Runners pass through Camp 10 Bear twice during their race, creating opportunities for runners from the front, middle, and back of the pack to interact and cheer each other on.
