Katie Schide led the 2025 Trail World Championships Long Trail from start to finish, delivering a dominant victory for the United States. She ran much of the race alone at the front yet maintained motivation to push hard despite limited company. She found the terrain faster than anticipated and was able to move significantly quicker than expectations for the course. She expressed strong appreciation for the fans whose support energized the race atmosphere. She evaluated her 2025 goal of becoming a more versatile runner and reflected on whether she has achieved the versatility she sought this season.
