Brooks Hyperion 3 Review
"The Brooks Hyperion 3 is a true training shoe this model-less like a racing flat than the 2-maintaining its fast ride yet with more cushion and support, especially behind the heel. It's still light and responsive enough to be race-ready for 5k-10K races. The Hyperion shoes are one of the newest series of shoes from Brooks, offering Hyperion, Hyperion Max, PYNRS x Hyperion Max, Hyperion Elite, and mid (MD) and long (LD) distance racing spikes in their 2nd or 3rd rendition."
"The Hyperion GTS (stability) line was discontinued in 2025. Since I ran in Hyperion GTS 2 (and loved it!), I can confidently recommend Hyperion 3 as offering similar low stability to the GTS 2. The 2 was more fun to run in, but the 3 has a more durable outsole. There was no increase in price with the latest modifications; it stays at $140 USD list price. Other shoes that provide a running experience like Hyperion include Saucony Endorphin Speed and Puma Deviate Nitro (both plated options), Hoka Mach 6 as a similarly versatile trainer, ASICS Novablast with a little more cushion, and New Balance FuelCell Rebel."
Hyperion 3 shifts toward a true training shoe while preserving a fast, responsive ride. The model adds more overall cushion and heel support compared with earlier iterations, yet remains light enough for 5K–10K racing. The outsole has been strengthened to improve durability for higher mileage. The Hyperion line includes multiple variants and racing spikes, and the GTS stability version was discontinued in 2025. The shoe retains a $140 USD list price. Comparable shoes include plated and versatile trainers such as Saucony Endorphin Speed, Puma Deviate Nitro, Hoka Mach 6, ASICS Novablast, and New Balance FuelCell Rebel.
