The Guardian reviewed numerous viral videos documenting harassment of Palestinians and attacks on activists. Since the Gaza war began in October 2023, violence has escalated, with over 1,000 Palestinians killed in the West Bank. The rise of far-right influencers correlates with the growing influence of far-right politics in Israel, normalizing dehumanization of Palestinians. TikTok's action against Roi Star followed his video showing harassment of leftwing activists.
