Ted Cruz responded to criticism from a 29-year-old MAGA influencer who serves as an outside advisor to President Donald Trump. Cruz said he was deeply concerned about reported details of a still-to-be-finalized peace deal with Iran. He argued that striking Iran produced extraordinary military results, including destroying missiles and drones and sinking Iran’s navy. Cruz warned that if the deal leaves an Islamist regime in place, provides billions of dollars, enables uranium enrichment and nuclear weapons development, and grants effective control of the Strait of Hormuz, the outcome would be disastrous. The influencer accused Cruz of undermining the president, and Cruz replied with sharp insults while criticizing “political grifters” promoting Iran appeasement.
