"The organisation is known for opposing the mention of LGBTQ+ rights, race and ethnicity, critical race theory and discrimination in school curriculums, but Beth Bourne, the chairwoman of the group's chapter in Yolo County, California, took that opposition one step further on Thursday (18 September) by stripping down to what appeared to be a bikini during a Davis School Board meeting."
"'Right now, we require our students to undress for PE class, so I'm just going to give you an idea of what that looks like when I undress,' she said. Removing her top, she added: 'This school district is saying that depending on a child's transgender identity, that they can pick which bathroom they want. 'Right now, at this school district, we have children self-identifying into different bathrooms.'"
Beth Bourne, chairwoman of the Yolo County Moms for Liberty chapter, stripped down to what appeared to be a bikini during a Davis School Board meeting to protest trans-inclusive junior high toilets and locker-room policies. A video shows Bourne taking the microphone during public comment and saying, 'Right now, we require our students to undress for PE class, so I'm just going to give you an idea of what that looks like when I undress' before removing her top and jeans. She said the district allows students to pick bathrooms based on transgender identity and accused the board of violating her First Amendment rights after board members protested and called for a recess. Bourne told journalists she did not feel the protest was disruptive and that she thought she 'made a really good point.' Last year she was detained by police after she spotted drag queens in a lobby.
