Mark Levin, in a sharp op-ed for the New York Post, criticized MAGA loyalists who lean towards isolationism, specifically targeting figures like Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon. He condemned their opposition to U.S. involvement in conflicts, particularly in Iran, calling it appeasement and reminiscent of historical failures related to World War II. Levin highlighted the importance of supporting allies such as Israel and praised Trump's previous foreign policy efforts. He framed the debate as a clash between loyalists and isolationists within the movement, asserting that the latter preferred authoritarian figures like Putin over genuine American leadership.
Levin lambasted those in Trump's orbit, like Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, who oppose direct U.S. involvement in a war against Iran, branding them knuckleheads.
There's nothing new or good about isolationism, which, in a word, is appeasement, Levin wrote. It's old and promotes war, such as World War II.
Levin praised Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's approach as a real peace plan, compared to 47 years of failed policies and praised the Reagan-Thatcher alliance.
Targeting Carlson by name, Levin lashed out at his former Fox News colleague: They prefer the likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is more MAGA than Trump.
