Thomas Massie conceded defeat in Kentucky’s Fourth Congressional District Republican primary to Ed Gallrein, a political newcomer endorsed by Donald Trump. Massie delivered a lighthearted concession speech despite the acrimonious campaign, asking when bipartisanship became a dirty word. He joked that “bi” means liking both and said he might be “transpartisan” because he cannot identify with either side some days. The primary was expensive and ugly, with heavy spending and widespread attention.
