Charlie Kirk's Producer Pays Emotional Tribute to MAGA Star: Overly Loyal, Overly Generous, Overly Decent'
"I'm reminded of so many conversations where I would ask Charlie, well, you know, what did the president say. And so many times his answer is, you know, people just don't understand, we're actually friends. Like, we are good friends, and he loved him. And I know Trump loved Charlie and it wasn't transactional. And Steve, you, know this, Charlie was loyal to a fault, Kolvet said."
"I'd see the people on online, you know, criticizing if Trump did something they disagreed with and Charlie wasn't loud enough against it, and people just didn't understand Charlie was loyal. He was fundamentally good and decent and anybody who knew him intimately knew that he was overly loyal, overly generous, overly decent and patient. And [there are] so many people that maybe didn't treat him the way they should have, said Kolvet."
"Kolvet argued that Trump's announcement he will posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom is well deserved as he fought so hard to keep the MAGA coalition together. I think I can hear it in the President's voice this morning that he lost a friend, as we all did, and I think it's a great honor, he said. I know Charlie is honored and his wife is honored, Erica, and it's well deserved."
Andrew Kolvet paid an emotional tribute to Charlie Kirk, describing him as overly generous, loyal to a fault, and a real friend to Donald Trump. Kolvet said he joined Steve Bannon's WarRoom podcast despite reluctance because he believed Kirk would have pushed him to appear. He recalled Kirk emphasizing his genuine, nontransactional friendship with Trump and noted that Kirk sometimes faced criticism from MAGA supporters for not being sufficiently critical of Trump. Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during an event at a Utah college campus at age 31, leaving a wife and two children. Kolvet called Kirk fundamentally good, patient, and deserving of the Presidential Medal of Freedom for helping keep the MAGA coalition together.
