Charlie Kirk was fatally shot while hosting a "Prove Me Wrong" debate at Utah Valley University, and authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the shooting. Early speculation linked the suspect to the groyper community, which is largely Christian nationalist, anti-LGBTQ+, sexist, and racist. Nick Fuentes led the 2019 "Groyper War" targeting Kirk and other conservatives for not being far-right enough. Fuentes identifies as an admitted white supremacist and neo-Nazi and has posted statements that blame victims, praise authoritarian movements, and endorse extremist social positions.
