Five-division champ Crawford retires from boxing
"walking away as a great with nothing else left to prove."
"I'm stepping away from competition, not because I'm done fighting but because I've won a different kind of battle. The one where you walk away on your own terms,"
"This isn't goodbye, this is the end of one fight and the beginning of another."
"I gave this sport every breath I had. Every scar, every triumph, every ounce of my heart. I've made peace with what's next. And now, it's time. Thank you."
Terence Crawford, a five-division champion, announced his retirement from boxing at age 38. He became the only boxer in the four-belt era to be undisputed in three weight classes after defeating Canelo Alvarez for the super middleweight title in September. Crawford also became undisputed at welterweight by knocking out Errol Spence Jr. in July 2023 and was undisputed at junior welterweight after stopping Julius Indongo in August 2017. He retires with a 42-0 record and 31 knockouts and has held 18 major world championships across five weight classes.
