Microsoft introduces Windows 365 Disaster Recovery Plus
Briefly

Microsoft has launched Windows 365 Disaster Recovery Plus, enabling quicker recovery of Cloud PCs in case of outages. Currently in preview for Windows 365 Enterprise users, it reduces Recovery Time Objective (RTO) to 30 minutes for large tenants, compared to four hours previously. Despite no ability to save work, the service improves disaster recovery performance, especially crucial following Microsoft's prior outages. The announcement comes after recent service disruptions, prompting inquiries about administration previews and pricing for the Plus version. As disaster recovery is integral for enterprises, Microsoft faces both challenges and competition in this area.
Typically previews are for admins to try out the service free of charge, we've asked Microsoft to confirm this.
The timing of the announcement is unfortunate. Microsoft 365 had a major outage in January, and the company's Outlook email service was degraded just this past weekend following what the Windows giant delicately referred to as 'a problematic code change.'
