Glen Powell hails from Austin, Texas and returned there after selling his Hollywood Hills home. He dropped out of the University of Texas the year after landing a small part in The Great Debaters (2007) to pursue acting in Los Angeles. His first Los Angeles residence was a Beverly Hills poolhouse where he was later evicted after throwing a party, and he subsequently moved to Van Nuys. He later relocated deep into the Hollywood Hills and has since advanced to leading roles. He now splits his time between film sets around the world, Texas, and New York City.
