This is officially the most expensive neighborhood in NYC
"New York City real estate didn't just stay expensive last year-it rewrote the luxury playbook. What was once a skyline dominated by skyscrapers housing offices now reads like a borough-wide tapestry of desirability. Hudson Yards holds its crown as the titan of exclusivity for the seventh year running, with a staggering $5.58 million median sale price. And that's a 22 percent year-over-year dip."
"SoHo, long a magnet for art, fashion and glazed brick facades, surged back into the number two slot, its median climbing to $3.73 million as co-op and condo prices lifted the entire neighborhood's metric. TriBeCa, NoHo and Central Park South round out the top five, each commanding eye-watering figures and bidding wars that stay fierce from Park Place to Broadway."
Manhattan retained a dominant share of the city's most expensive neighborhoods, anchored by Hudson Yards at a $5.58 million median despite a 22 percent year-over-year decline. Ultra-premium prices remain concentrated on the west side while buyers continue to pay prices equivalent to mansions elsewhere. SoHo rose to second with a $3.73 million median as co-op and condo gains lifted the neighborhood. TriBeCa, NoHo and Central Park South completed the top five. Brooklyn entered the top 10 through Cobble Hill at about $1.85 million, with Boerum Hill driving condo transaction growth. Queens' Malba became the borough's priciest neighborhood at No.16.
