A legal wrangle continues over how much damage gangland figure James 'Mago' Gately did to his former home before handing it over to the Criminal Assets Bureau. The dispute centers on the extent to which that damage reduced the property's value and the final sale proceeds. At a High Court hearing this week the Criminal Assets Bureau disclosed that it had commissioned a valuer to assess how the final sale price was affected. The valuer's assessment will inform any further legal or recovery actions.
