Despite these feelings, Judge Vargas wrote that she does believe certain discrete categories of documents are potentially relevant. Zillow implemented a listing access standards policy banning listings publicly advertised more than one business day before MLS input and IDX/VOW display. The parties completed expedited discovery on Compass's preliminary injunction to block enforcement of the policy. Zillow sought additional discovery tied to Compass's acquisition of Anywhere. Judge Jeannette A. Vargas found most requests attenuated but allowed three narrow document categories: acquisition disclosures about Zillow's standards; communications about current or expected impact on Compass's business and stock; and communications between Compass and Anywhere regarding the lawsuit. The judge denied an additional two-hour deposition of CEO Robert Reffkin. Zillow filed a court letter asserting a hearing is unnecessary based on evidence and testimony gathered during expedited discovery.
