Compass has expanded its Texas operations by welcoming Vista Real Estate and Halo Group Realty. This addition aims to improve client experiences. Recent advancements include the return of Brian Sperry from Orange County and hiring of luxury broker Terry Cohen from the Hamptons. Compass has also communicated to NAR and MLS leaders its decision to no longer follow the Clear Cooperation Policy, citing potential negative impacts on clients. Additionally, Compass is involved in various legal challenges, including a telemarketing lawsuit and ongoing courtroom battles with Northwest MLS and Zillow.

Over the past 10 days, Compass has witnessed the return of top Orange County, California-based agent Brian Sperry, as well as the hiring of Hamptons, New York-based luxury broker Terry Cohen.
Compass informed the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and MLS leaders that it is no longer adhering to the Clear Cooperation Policy or any other national MLS policy that it thinks will negatively impact clients.
The brokerage is also currently facing its fair share of legal challenges including being named as a defendant in a telemarketing lawsuit.
