The listed home is about 2,800 square feet and was purchased through an LLC shortly after his 1994 marriage; records show a roughly $1 million purchase in 1995. The Xanadu 2.0 estate was appraised at $132 million in 2025. Gates has acquired surrounding wooded land, smaller homes, and lots over decades to create a privacy buffer along Lake Washington. Melinda French Gates has said people mentioned in the Epstein files need to answer to those allegations.
